Skin in Spring

Sandra takes Bus 243 through Medellín to work, always forced to stand. Amidst the routine commotion, she focuses on her destination as the camera remains fixated on her, reflecting an inner transformation unfolding. For fifteen years, Sandra's life revolved around her son, but as he grows distant, she embarks on a new journey. Working as a security guard, she navigates through a bustling mall, experiencing newfound connections and moments of attention from colleagues and the driver of Bus 243. This marks the beginning of Sandra's journey towards self-discovery and reclaiming her sexuality.

About Vancouver Latin American Film Festival

22nd Vancouver Latin American Film Festival

September 5-15, 2024

The Vancouver Latin American Film Festival is a registered charitable organization that exhibits and promotes independent Latin American film and media art. Each September (in addition to special events throughout the year), we organize an 11-day festival to encourage dialogue among cultures, and explore and celebrate the art of contemporary Latin American, Latin-Canadian, and Indigenous filmmaking.
