In celebration of the upcoming release of "Grieg: Lyric Pieces", out this October on Prospero Classical, join us for a performance by pianist Daniel Gortler! In tonight's program, he'll perform 12 of the celebrated Lyric Pieces by Norwegian composer and pianist Edvard Grieg — including "Arietta", "Notturno" and "March of the Dwarfs" — as well as works from Robert Schumann's "Kinderszenen", "Scenes of Childhood, Op. 15" and Felix Mendelssohn's "Songs Without Words".
