A/V CLUB THEATER SPECIAL: LET MY PUPPETS COME (1976)

An executive board of oddball puppets owe Mr. Big some big money. Knowing that the low overhead/high-return world of porn can dig them out of this hole, they brainstorm a felt-adorned erotic journey of weirdness which is brought to life on the screen. Released the same year as The Muppet Show premiered, this movie offers a much different take on the lives of puppets. Helmed by adult cinema legend, Gerard Damiano (Deep Throat, The Devil in Miss Jones, The Story of Joanna), featuring cult heroes Al Goldstein (Screw Magazine) and Lynette Sheldon (Blood Sucking Freaks, C.O.D.), and an original song scored and conducted by Oscar nominee Alan Silvestri (Mac & Me), this is a must see for fans of cinematic oddities. All of that, plus a musical number featuring singing, um... well, you'll just have to show up to find out.
