About Chilemonos

CHILEMONOS Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes, encourages and develops national animation for the world, through 5 lines of action: Culture, Industry, Training, Research and Dissemination.

We are the only Animation Festival in Latam that qualifies for the Oscar Awards in the exclusive Latin American Animated Short Film category. Ensuring that animation from our continent has the opportunity to be seen internationally.

This year we will hold the first version of Chilemonos in Vancouver: “The Southern Latin American Festival”. An Animation Festival whose mission is to link Chilean and Latin American culture with the vibrant Canadian animation community. 

This special edition will be held from October 21-25 in Vancouver, Canada, and will feature exhibitions, workshops, conferences, and a Masterclass with special emphasis on Latin American works, as well as very special guests.
